The ABUS Bordo Granit X-Plus 6500 accessory is compatible with all of our models. Follow the steps below to install the accessory on your bike.

 If you are not confident in your ability to successfully and safely perform all steps, we recommend having the work performed or checked by a local, certified, and reputable bike mechanic.

1. Get the bike ready for maintenance. Turn off the bike, remove the battery, and press and hold MODE (or the power button) to discharge remaining power.
2. Find a location on the bike to mount the lock. The lock can be mounted to the top tube of most high-step models or the downtube of most step-thru models, as shown in the images below. Make sure the lock is not mounted in a position that interferes with a quick release lever. Check that the lock will not come into contact with any moving parts.

   Tip!

   To mount the lock to the frame using the mounting screws (recommended for the 85 cm model only), follow the instructions titled "Mounting 1" in the PDF linked above.
   
   To mount the lock to the frame using the straps, follow the instructions titled "Mounting 2" in the PDF linked above.
   
4. Once the accessory is installed, reinstall the battery, test the bike fully, and ride Rad!
