Tools Needed:

  • Replacement fuses
    • 5A 250V ceramic fuse
    • 20A 250V ceramic fuse
  1. Get the bike ready for maintenance. Turn off the bike, remove the battery, and press and hold MODE to discharge remaining power.
  2. Set the battery on a solid surface with the battery key in the off and unlocked position ("C" in the illustration below).

Do not touch the "+" and "-" terminal contacts on the bottom of the battery. Be careful to keep the exposed connector terminals clear of debris, and do not drop or damage the battery. In the case of damage to the terminals or battery mount, please discontinue use and contact Rad Power Bikes Product Support immediately. Never open the battery housing, which will void the warranty and can result in damage to the battery or property, or lead to serious injury or death.

  1. Locate and remove the fuse cover securing the fuse in place.
    1. If the battery does not charge, replace the 5A fuse. Lift the battery handle and locate the 5A fuse cover (shown below) located just above the key barrel. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to carefully loosen the 5A fuse cover. Set the fuse cover aside.
