Tire performance and replacement information
The tires used on each model are designed to be high-performance, visible, durable, and to keep you riding Rad for miles. The tires are developed and sized to work with a specific Rad Power Bikes model or, in some cases, are compatible with multiple models.

The tires that come with your ebike model were chosen to provide the best performance for a wide variety of conditions and riding styles. However, you may want to swap these tires at some point for a tire that better suits your specific riding needs. Use the following guidelines to help choose a tire:
Off-Road Riding
If the riding surface is soft enough for a tire to leave behind an impression, using a tire with a knobby tread will improve traction over using a slick tire. For any off road riding, we recommend using tires with knobby treads.
City Riding
Slick tires are designed to perform well in dry, warm conditions on relatively smooth pavement. This is because slick tires have a wide contact patch of rubber where the flat portion of the tire meets the road surface. On pavement, more rubber touching the ground means better grip. However, in cold or wet conditions, reduce speed, increase braking distance, and use caution as they will have less traction than on warm, dry pavement.
Tire Size
Replacement tires must also be compatible with your ebike wheels. Look at the original tire's sidewall for diameter and width, or consult your Owner's Manual for the recommended tire size. Tires that exceed the recommended diameter and width may not be compatible with your wheels, and may create unsafe riding conditions leading to accidents, property damage, injury or death.
Inflate tires to the recommended value listed on the tire sidewall. Do not overinflate or underinflate a tire. Always check your tire pressure before every ride.
